International Bath Day
International Bath Day occurring this
month is a great time to celebrate bath time with cool educational bath toys.
I always write about the best baby
bath toys out there with no special international day needed but International
Bath Day takes place every year on June 14th is a great reminder that the bath is
the IDEAL place for little scientists to learn, explore and discover. The day's roots originate from a
homage to Archimedes who was an Ancient Greek mathematician, physicist &
inventor. He discovered, while taking a bath, that an object’s volume could be
accurately measured by being submerged in water! Unable to contain his
excitement, Archimedes leapt out of the bathtub and yelling "Eureka, Eureka!"
as he ran through the streets of Syracuse (Ancient Greece).
Obviously Archimedes' exact date of
birth is unknown because we are talking about more than 2050 years ago, but the
day chosen to commemorate International Bath Day is the day that is believed he
leapt out of the bath tub shouting, "Eureka!
Eureka!". Legend has it that it was exactly one week before summer
began ( June 14th)! How cool
is that?!
I plan to celebrate during this whole
month with all the best bath toys that promote learning basic physical
properties such as empty/full, float/sink, heavy/light, and cause and
effect all while having pure fun in the tub!

A fun and educational bath toy
Bath time with
the right bath toys should provide an educational, multi-sensory experience
that will promote healthy baby development. This stacking fountain is so much
fun. It comes with stackable boats and squirting characters. The boats stack up
to create different water structures and it's great to create a different
structure each time. Ashley loved playing
with this toy over
and over again, but she especially loved the squirting scuba
guys.

Bath toy? Baby shower? Both!
The bathroom is a technology free zone and bath
time is practically the only tech free time in the day. It's the perfect time
for bonding with your baby. A
great battery operated bath toy that I would recommend, especially for
beginners is this battery operated submarine. It comes with a nice activity
center that teaches cause and effect. It can also be used as for washing your
baby and is great solution for smaller babies that are afraid of the shower
head.

Babies are little scientists
Great bath toys develop eye-hand coordination and motor control of hands and fingers, like all great toys. Add that with the sensory contact of water and together fun bath toys will bring out the little scientist in your baby. If you have a great entertaining bath toys, you won't have to work hard to get them to enjoy bath time. They'll love to share bath play with you, as long as you don't mind getting splashed.
Babies love to play with the bath tap. The want that endless stream of water but you find yourself nervous about the water temperature or the bath getting too full. This is what makes this bath toy so great. A battery operated spout that draws water from the bath tub enabling to maintain the water level and water temperature. It enables Ashley that endless stream and offers so many ways to play with water. Super Safe. Super Fun. We Love It!

Seriously a terrible experience.
We tried everything to make bath time a calming and connecting experience but ever since she was born, Ashley would scream the moment we put her in the tub. It was horrible!
We tried using different kinds of tubs that we borrowed from friends, changing the water temperature and all kinds of sponges, but nothing helped - Ashley would scream the through the entire bath, every single time. Ugh.
Bathing was impossible. It was literally the worst time of the day. I read that bath toys helped but they did not work for me; maybe she was too young. It's not that I didn't try. I purchased all possible bath time boats and duckies. Ashley was so busy screaming that it was useless, she didn't notice them and I had my hands full.
I guess that the combination of Ashley growing up a bit, together with me gaining more experience in bath toys (I'm a total expert now!) is what brought the change.
Today, Ashley screams when bath time ends…so I felt I wanted to share my knowledge gained with miserable parents who just don't know what to do to make bath time better.
The HUGE difference: Battery operated bath toys
So what did I discover? I discovered battery operated bath toys that are a whole entire activity center. They have so many developmental advantages and they make bath time both fun and educational, which, now that Ashley is big, matter a lot! Smart water play provides a great new experience where kids can discover things that float, sink and splash, not to mention stop screaming at Mommy.
